This course is a return to the essence of agile: a connection to its Lean predecessor. A return to simplicity, continuous improvement, collaborative learning, constant value generation and efficiency in everyday work – the most successful agile adoptions are the ones that have managed to change Business As Usual!
In this Lean Thinking course, we will explore how this Japanese philosophy, with its focus on eliminating waste and Kaizen, provides an accessible approach for all organisations and teams, allowing them to improve their results without sacrificing productivity and well-being, transforming daily operations.
Lean is closely linked to what is known as agile, broadly sharing principles and values. However, when put into practice they have a nuance: Lean focuses on improving operations by making day-to-day operations more efficient, transforming what many call Business As Usual. Agile focuses more on developing projects that will later be incorporated into the operation. Currently, there are many organisations that despite adopting agile to manage projects, continue to have a saturation of agendas, multitasking, work overloads and paradoxically more work. Feelings of ‘overflow’, ‘water down’, ‘we can’t make a living’ or we are going like ‘headless chickens’, are the order of the day.
