PM² is a lightweight, easy-to-use project management methodology developed by the EC that enables project managers and project teams to deliver solutions and benefits to their organisations through the effective management of project work. It incorporates a wide range of globally accepted project management best practices such as PMBOK, PRINCE2 and IPMA-ICB and is suitable for any public or private organisation.
The PM2 Advanced certification is a level 2 certification designed to confirm the candidate’s understanding of the basic and advanced concepts of the PM2 methodology, not only at the individual concept level, but also at the level of the interrelationships and interdependencies that exist.
The exam questions cover the 5 areas of Governance, Lifecycle, Processes, Artefacts and Approach and focus on the most applied aspects of this methodology, covering the full breadth of the what, when, who, how and why of the methodology. Successful candidates demonstrate a level of understanding of the methodology necessary to effectively lead a PM2 project (or support a PM² project from an expert position).
